Chris Irvine

Chris Irvine has a diverse work experience in the media and entertainment industry. Chris started their career as a lawyer at Middletons Moore & Bevins in 1997 and later joined Lloyd Hart Entertainment Lawyers in 2001.

In 2003, they transitioned to a Legal and Business Affairs Manager role at ITV's Granada Productions. Chris then worked as a Business Affairs Executive at Channel 4's Film4 from 2004 to 2006.

Chris joined Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) Australia in 2006, where they served as the Head of Business Affairs, Commissioning, and Distribution until 2014. Chris then moved to Essential Media & Entertainment and held the position of Commercial Director and Head of Legal & Business Affairs from 2014 to 2016.

Returning to SBS Australia, Chris assumed the role of Head of Commercial & Production in 2016. In 2022, they briefly worked as the Acting Director of Television and Online Content at SBS Australia.

Throughout their career, Chris has gained extensive experience in legal, business affairs, and commercial roles within the media industry.

Chris Irvine attended the University of Hull from 1994 to 1997, where they pursued a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree with a specialization in Law.
