Jennifer Scherer is an accomplished journalist and producer with extensive experience in cross-platform media, currently serving as a Senior Cross-Platform Planning Producer/Reporter at the Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) Australia since February 2019. In this role, Jennifer reports and produces feature stories on various domestic and international issues for the SBS World News bulletin and online platforms. Notable work includes climate-related stories from Tasmania in preparation for the COP28 summit. Previous roles include a secondment with SBS Dateline, where Jennifer reported and produced the documentary "Japan's Cheap Homes," as well as positions handling daily news reporting for SBS and contributing to various media outlets, including Al Jazeera Media Network and Sky News. Jennifer holds a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the University of Technology Sydney and the University of Westminster, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution at the University of Sydney.
