Leon Coningham GAICD has a diverse work experience in the media industry. Leon started their career in 1991 as the Managing Director of Magna Pacific, where they worked until 2006. After that, they joined the Australian Broadcasting Corporation in 2006 as the GM Sales and Distribution until 2012. Following that, they joined Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) Australia in 2012 as the Head of SBS Distribution, where they led a team in creating and developing new revenue streams for SBS. In 2016, they took on the role of Head of SBS Inclusion Program, focusing on inclusion and diversity training and consulting, publishing, events, and movie distribution.

Leon Coningham GAICD has completed the "Behavioural insights for public policy course" in Behavioural Economics from BETA - Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet in 2022.
