Nakul Legha

Nakul Legha is a seasoned media executive with extensive experience in scripted content development and legal affairs. Currently serving as the Head of Scripted at Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) Australia since January 2024, Nakul previously held the position of Creative Executive for Acquisitions & Originals at Netflix from October 2020 to December 2023, where responsibilities included the development and commissioning of original series and overseeing film and TV licensing across Australia and New Zealand. Prior experience includes serving as Business & Legal Affairs Lead at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), where Nakul negotiated deals for scripted and non-scripted content. Additional roles encompass legal counsel and intellectual property law across various firms, and a position on the ABC Advisory Council. Nakul holds a dual degree in Law and Economics from The Australian National University, along with academic experiences at prestigious institutions such as The University of Alabama School of Law and Università Bocconi.
