Tony Lyu

Tony's relationship with SoftBank Ventures Asia started when his startup Korbit received investment from SoftBank in 2014. Tony was founder and CEO of Korbit, Korea’s first cryptocurrency exchange. He guided the company through its acquisition by NXC Corporation in 2017. Tony also co-founded TIDE Institute, a non-profit organization providing technology entrepreneurship education. Prior to that, he has worked in Germany and in Austria as an Associate Expert at the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs, and in Sri Lanka as a vocational school teacher for the Korea International Cooperation Agency.
