Senior Backend Engineer at SCADAfence

Rani Fischer has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering and cybersecurity. Since 2021, Rani has been working at SCADAfence - The OT & IoT Cybersecurity Company, initially as a Software Engineer and Security Researcher, and currently holds the position of Senior Backend Engineer.

Prior to this, Rani worked at the Israeli Air Force (IAF) from 2015 to 2021, where they held multiple roles. From December 2017 to April 2021, they served as a Senior Software Engineer, specializing in developing generic infrastructure and micro-services for a real-time embedded system. Rani'sresponsibilities included working with technologies such as Embedded C++, RTOS (Integrity, VxWorks), Windows OS, DDS Protocol, and Python. Prior to this, from April 2015 to December 2017, Rani worked as a Realtime Software Engineer, utilizing assembly and JOVIAL languages for real-time embedded systems. Rani also developed an automation testing framework for CI using Python.

Before joining the IAF, Rani briefly worked as a Java Developer at Athena Portfolio Solutions in 2014.

Rani Fischer completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Software Engineering from Hamikhlalah Ha'academit Lehandassah Sami Shamoon between 2010 and 2014. Prior to that, from 2004 to 2010, they attended Makif Gimel high school in Ashdod, Israel, where they studied in the field of "הנדסת תוכנה" (Software Engineering).
