Sebastian Schramm

Sebastian Schramm has several years of experience in the field of machine learning and data science. Sebastian currently holds the position of Senior Machine Learning Engineer at a company where they are responsible for developing machine learning applications for automating legal processes. This involves creating natural language processing applications for information extraction and document classification, as well as working with large language models.

Prior to their current role, Sebastian worked as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at another company, where they designed and developed on-premise machine learning applications to reduce administrative tasks in hospitals. Sebastian also worked on natural language processing applications and automated deployment-related tasks.

Before that, Sebastian worked as a Senior Data Scientist at a different company, where they developed machine learning applications for hospitals and focused on automating deployment-related tasks. Sebastian also contributed to the development and improvement of IT infrastructure.

Sebastian's earlier experience includes working as a Data Scientist and DevOps Engineer at a company where they designed and developed machine learning applications for dynamic pricing and forecasting. Sebastian was responsible for implementing application interfaces and ETL pipelines, as well as setting up CI/CD processes for cloud-based applications.

Additionally, Sebastian has experience as a Software Engineer in the field of machine learning, where they worked on cloud-based applications for process automation and natural language processing. Sebastian also took on the role of technical team lead and handled the development and implementation of cloud-based IT infrastructure.

Sebastian's professional journey began as a Senior Scientist and Information Technology Consultant, where they gained valuable experience in both scientific research and IT consulting.

Sebastian Schramm completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Physics at Leiden University from 2009 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including AWS Fundamentals Specialization, Deep Learning Specialization, TensorFlow in Practice Specialization, and dbt Fundamentals. These certifications were obtained from Coursera and dbt Labs, with the most recent being the dbt Fundamentals certification in December 2022.
