Adrian Hupka

Adrian Hupka has a diverse and accomplished work experience in the field of engineering. Adrian currently holds the position of Head of Engineering at Scalable Capital, a role they started in April 2023. Previously, Adrian was the Co-Founder and CEO of CodeAlpha Inc. from December 2021 to December 2022.

Prior to their roles in startups, Adrian worked at Elli - A Brand of the Volkswagen Group from February 2019 to September 2021. During this time, they served as the Head of Software Engineering and later as the Head of Software Engineering & Head of IT, acting as CIO. In these roles, Adrian led large teams and was responsible for the development and operations of charging services offered by the Volkswagen brands.

Before their time at Volkswagen, Adrian gained experience at BMW Group. From December 2017 to January 2019, they worked as a Technical Program Manager, leading projects related to in-car software development. Adrian also served as a Program Manager and Cloud Solution Architect, overseeing the development and operation of BMW's enterprise charging services. Prior to that, Adrian directed the development and operation of the BMW ChargeForward program and worked on developing path planning software for self-driving vehicles.

Adrian started their career with internships at BMW Group and BMW of North America, LLC, where they gained experience in robotics research and software engineering. Adrian also worked as a Student Research Assistant at TU Dresden.

Adrian Hupka pursued their education at Technische Universität Dresden from the year 2008 to 2015. During this time, they completed a degree program in Studies of transport and transportation engineering with a specialization in telematics. Adrian earned a MSc (German “Diplom-Ingenieur”) degree as a result of their studies at TU Dresden. Additionally, in November 2018, they obtained a certification as a Professional Cloud Architect from Google.
