Cameron Smith

Cameron Smith is an associate at Scalar. Prior to joining Scalar, Cameron was an accountant at Forum Builders, LLC from March 2021 to July 2021. There, they transitioned bookkeeping functions in-house that were previously outsourced and integrated construction cost codes into Quickbooks Online. Cameron also designed a two-person accounting system that is flexible, timely, and thorough.

Before their time at Forum Builders, LLC, Cameron was a physical therapist aide at Columbia Physical Therapy from January 2020 to April 2020. There, they guided patients through prescribed exercises and treatments, translated instructions from physical therapists to Spanish-speaking patients, and created a comfortable environment for patients experiencing pain.

Cameron’s first position was as a tax service associate at FirstPurpose Wealth from August 2020 to March 2021. In this role, they managed tax client relationships and communications, prepared basic tax returns, assisted clients and tax advisors with use of tax software and online client portals, designed and simplified tax preparation processes to incorporate Robotic Process Automation (RPA), translated for Spanish-speaking clients, and performed monthly bookkeeping for clients using Quickbooks Online.

Cameron Smith will most likely receive a Bachelor's Degree in 2022 from Brigham Young University's Marriott School of Business or School of Accountancy.
