Jamie Day

Jamie Day has a diverse work experience in software development and management. They started their career as a Software Development Intern at Ensemble Systems in 2014, where they gained experience in frontend development and API integrations. In 2015, Jamie continued as a Software Development Intern at Ensemble Systems, working on a reactive maps interface for a mobile app and gaining knowledge of scrum methodology.

Following that, Jamie joined ScalePad in 2016 as a Software Engineering Intern, contributing to the development of a reporting/document generation framework and integrating RMM/PSA systems using REST/SOAP APIs. They also learned about SOLID design principles during this time.

Jamie then progressed to become a Full Stack Developer at ScalePad in 2017. In this role, they were responsible for developing scalable software solutions and gained expertise in relational databases, REST APIs, async I/O & computations, software architecture, and reactive UI.

In 2019, Jamie was promoted to Software Development Manager / Team Lead, where they led a product team in building innovative functionality for the Lifecycle Manager product. Their responsibilities included managing the team, coordinating cross-team initiatives, coaching developers on SOLID/DDD design methods, enforcing agile collaborative processes, leading architectural design, and providing guidance on accelerating product plans while maintaining quality, scalability, and usability. They also led a technical project to modernize the frontend stack for better user/developer experience and performance.

Currently, Jamie holds the position of Lead Architect, Product at ScalePad, starting in January 2023. Further details of this role are not provided.

Jamie Day attended McGill University from 2015 to 2019, where they obtained an Engineer's Degree in Computer Software Engineering.
