David Tucker

David Tucker has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. David is currently serving as the Director of Clinical Operations at SCAN since November 2022. Prior to this, they held various managerial roles at SCAN Health Plan from October 2016 to February 2023, including Manager of Clinical Care and Manager of Network Performance. Before joining SCAN, David worked at HealthCare Partners from October 2013 to September 2016, where they served as the High Risk and Palliative Care Social Work Lead, as well as an Interim Manager. David also worked as a Hospice & Palliative Care Social Worker at Roze Room Hospice from July 2012 to September 2014. Additionally, David gained experience at the Department of Veterans Affairs, where they worked as a Palliative Care Fellow and a Palliative Care - Social Work Intern from June 2011 to July 2012 and from September 2010 to May 2011, respectively. Furthermore, they served as a Social Work Intern at Schiff Day Treatment Center from May 2010 to August 2010. David's professional journey began as a Volunteer Coordinator at Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly from May 2009 to May 2010, and they started their career as a Residential Counselor at CASCAP, Inc. from August 2008 to May 2009.

David Tucker earned a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts from Hendrix College from 2003 to 2006. David then proceeded to obtain a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work (MSW) from Boston College, where they studied from 2009 to 2011. In addition, they have received certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) from the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
