Laura Cloney has over 17 years of experience in talent acquisition and management. Laura is currently working as the Sr. Director of Talent Acquisition at SCAN, where they focus on employee support and growth opportunities. Previously, they held the same role at Matterport, where they built a global talent acquisition function in preparation for high growth. Laura also has experience at Vocera Communications, where they served as the Director of Talent Acquisition and Experience, leading a global talent acquisition function and supporting multiple acquisitions. Laura has also held roles at MetrixLab, H5 - now Lighthouse, Manpower, and Beta LAYOUT GmbH, where they were responsible for strategic staffing, recruitment, and client management.
Laura Cloney has a Master's degree in Human Resources Development from The University of Salford. Laura also obtained an Extension Certificate in Talent Management & Workforce Development from the University of California, Berkeley in 2010. Additionally, Laura attended Mid West Business Institute where they studied Human Resources Management. Laura has obtained certifications in Matterport from Racism Untaught in 2022 and in Employee Experience from LinkedIn in 2018.
