Laura Brown

Laura Brown, R.N., B.S.T.M. has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Laura started their career at St Mary Medical Center in 1980 as an RN, where they gained experience in critical care and cardiac cath lab procedures. After working at St Mary Medical Center for 11 years, Laura moved on to CalOptima in 1995, where they worked in care coordination for almost a decade. In 2004, they joined SCAN Health Plan as a Manager in the Clinical System department and later transitioned to become the Director of Medical Policy and Benefit Code Set Center. In these roles, Laura was responsible for establishing reporting processes, assessing opportunities for efficiencies and cost savings, and recruiting and hiring staff. Laura's extensive experience in various healthcare settings and leadership roles makes their a valuable asset in the industry.

Laura Brown obtained their Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from Long Beach Community College, where they studied from 1979 to 1983. Laura furthered their education by pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Technical Management (BSTM) from DeVry University, completing their studies from 2006 to 2008.
