Erik Hammarstrand

Erik Hammarstrand is an experienced mechanical engineer specializing in medical device development and engineering consultancy. Currently serving as the Lead Mechanical Engineer at Scandinavian Real Heart since October 2020, Erik focuses on Class III device development, encompassing design, testing, and project management. As the owner of Deocon AB, established in October 2012, Erik provides consultancy services and 3D printing solutions. Erik's previous roles include Lead Technical Consultant at Westinghouse Electric Corporation, Consulting Engineer at Uponor, and positions at ABB and CashGuard International, where extensive work on mechanical design and product development in various engineering contexts was performed. Erik holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Uppsala University, earned in 2006.
