Jorge Maradiaga

Jorge Maradiaga has extensive work experience in various roles related to procurement, logistics, IT management, and programming. Jorge is currently serving as the Director of Strategic Procurement at Scandinavian Tobacco Group since 2019. Prior to this, they worked at General Cigar where they held positions such as Director of Procurement and Logistics from June 2018 to December 2018, Operations and Purchasing Manager from September 2012 to May 2018, IT Manager from January 2010 to August 2012, and System Analyst and Programmer from June 2008 to December 2009. Before joining General Cigar, they worked at Dole Food Company as a Network Specialist from January 2007 to May 2008, and at TRU-SPEC as an Assistant IT Manager in 2006.

Jorge Maradiaga completed their Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering from the Universidad Católica de Honduras 'Nuestra Señora Reina de la Paz' from 2003 to 2007. In 2005, they participated in an Exchange Program at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, focusing on Management Information Systems. In 2017, Jorge obtained a Specialization in Operations Management, with a specific focus on Supply Chain, from The George Washington University. Jorge later pursued a Master's degree in Operations Management from Aden Business School, completed in 2019. Currently, they are enrolled in another Master's program at Aden Business School, specializing in Project Management, which they are expected to complete in 2023.
