Dorothee Chopamba

Dorothee Chopamba, MSW, RSW, serves as a Clinical Social Worker/Psychotherapist at the Community Health Centre, Scarborough Centre for Healthy Communities, since February 2012, where responsibilities include conducting psychosocial assessments and providing therapeutic interventions. Dorothee has also contributed as an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Toronto from January 2019 to February 2023. Previous roles encompass positions such as Client Care Coordinator/Case Manager at Philip Aziz Centre for Hospice Care, Social Worker at Casey House Hospice, and Program Administrator/Client Services at Yonge Street Mission. Educational qualifications include a Master’s in Social Work from Ryerson University, a Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) from York University, and various certificates in mental health, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Additionally, Dorothee has extensive administrative experience from a prior role at the Eastern and Southern African Trade and Development Bank.
