Michele James

EVP, People & Transformation at SHN

Michele James is the current VP of People & Transformation at SHN. Michele has previously worked as a Governor at Durham College, Vice President of Quality, Strategic Planning and Performance at Rouge Valley Health System, Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Vice President of Performance, Strategy & Innovation at Scarborough and Rouge Hospital. Michele has also served as the Chair of the Advisory Committee at the Black Physicians Association of Ontario (BPAO) from January 2016 to February 2022.

Michele James has an MBA in Health Services Management from McMaster University. Michele also has a B.Sc. in Human Biology from the University of Toronto - University College. In addition, they have certification from the College Centre of Board Excellence in Advanced Good Governance and from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management in Advanced Health Leadership. Finally, they have a Certified Health Executive designation from the Canadian College of Health Leaders.

Michele James reports to Elizabeth Buller, President & CEO, Scarborough Health Network. They work with Rebecca Harvey - EVP of Clinical Programs, Alicia Vandermeer - President & CEO, SHN Foundation, and Albert Lauwers - Acting Chief of Staff, EVP of Medical & Clinical Programs.
