Cheryl Geldenhuys is a seasoned professional in project finance with extensive experience in the renewable energy sector. Currently serving as Vice President at Scatec ASA since December 2021, Cheryl heads project finance for solar, wind, and battery energy storage projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. Previously, Cheryl was a Senior Manager in Project Finance at Scatec, leading teams for renewable projects across Africa. Cheryl has also held the position of Project Finance Manager at BTE Renewables and served as Vice President of Project Finance at Absa Group from January 2008 to April 2017. Cheryl holds a Bachelor of Business Science degree in Economics from the University of Cape Town, earned between January 2003 and December 2007.
