David Benton

David Benton has extensive work experience in the field of technology sales and business development. David currently serves as the Head of Sales - Cloud Services at SCC since 2023. Prior to this, they held various roles at Currencycloud, including Director - Enterprise Sales and Director - Business Development (Partnerships), from 2019 to 2023. Before joining Currencycloud, David worked at IBM as the UK/I Blockchain Sales Lead and Cloud Sales Specialist from 2015 to 2019. David also had previous experience as a Sales Manager at Currency Cloud and VP of Sales at HybridCluster. David began their career at Star Technology Services Ltd as the Head of Professional Services & 3rd Sector. David has a strong background in cloud computing and has also worked at Accenture and IBM in client management roles. David obtained a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth.

David Benton attended Wrekin College from 1990 to 1996, where they obtained A Levels in Geography, Economics, and Art. David then pursued Computer Science and obtained a Bsc degree from the University of Puget Sound in 1998. Following that, they continued their studies in Computer Science at Aberystwyth University from 1997 to 2001, where they achieved a 2.1 degree. In 2015, David obtained the IBM Cloud Certified Seller certification from IBM.
