Feras Alfraih, MD, MBA has extensive work experience in the medical field. Feras started their career at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in 2014, where they held various roles including Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Director of Patient Flow and Command Centre, Attending physician in Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplant, Director of Alternate Donor Stem Cell Transplantation, and Director of Health Outreach Services.
In 2019, they became the President of the Saudi Society for Blood Disorders (SSBD) at the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS). Feras also worked as an Independent Consultant at the Saudi Health Council from 2017 onwards.
Additionally, Dr. Alfraih has academic experience as an Associate Professor of Medicine at Alfaisal University since 2022. Prior to that, they served as an Assistant Professor from 2015 to 2022. Feras was also an Associate Editor for the Journal of Applied Hematology from 2016 to 2018.
Earlier in their career, Dr. Alfraih was a Clinical Research Fellow at the University Health Network from 2011 to 2014. Feras completed their Adult Hematology Fellowship at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center from 2009 to 2010 and their Internal Medicine Residency from 2004 to 2008.
Feras Alfraih, MD, MBA, completed their education with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from King Saud University in 2003. Feras then pursued specialized fellowships at the University of Toronto, with a focus on Adult Hematology from 2013 to 2014 and Allogenic Bone Marrow Transplantation from 2011 to 2013. In 2019, they obtained an MBA in International Healthcare Management from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
