Subramanian Annamalai

Subramanian Annamalai is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as Engineering Group Lead at Schaeffler since May 2018, specializing in e-Mobility and hybrid drives as well as torque converter clutch and damper design. Prior experience includes roles at Ushers Machine as Project Engineer for new product introduction, where project management and inventory optimization were key responsibilities, and at QuEST Global as Mechanical Design Engineer focused on the 9HA gas turbine combustion group. Subramanian also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Clemson University, contributing to bistable composite laminates for aerospace and automotive applications, and has held design engineer positions in product development at Triveni Engineering & Industries and as a Graduate Engineer Trainee at Godrej & Boyce. Subramanian holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from PSG College of Technology.
