Marcia Ranieri began their work experience as a Spanish Teacher at West Genesee High School in 2002. Marcia then served as an Assistant Principal at West Genesee School District from July 2009 to August 2010. In 2011, Marcia joined Guilderland Central School District as an Instructional Administrator for World Languages & ENL K-12, a role they held until 2023. Currently, Marcia is working as the Assistant Director of Student Engagement & Attendance at Schenectady City School District, starting in August 2023.

Marcia Ranieri's education history begins with a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Language Teacher Education, which they obtained from SUNY Geneseo from 1997 to 2000. Marcia then pursued a Masters in Bilingual, Multilingual, and Multicultural Education at the University at Buffalo from 2000 to 2002. Following this, Marcia attended Syracuse University from 2005 to 2008, where they obtained a CAS (Certificate of Advanced Study) in Teaching and Leadership. Their education journey continued as they enrolled in Russell Sage College from 2022 to 2024, where they pursued a Doctor of Education - EdD degree in the field of Education.
