Ying Chan

Ying Chan is a dedicated Special Education Teacher at Schenectady City School District, serving since September 2016 and enhancing pedagogical practices through collaboration, differentiated instruction, and data analysis. Ying has developed strength-based IEPs, engaged in community dialogues, and participated in various summer programs to guide students toward college and career readiness. Previous experience includes roles with the NYC Department of Education and NYC Teaching Fellows, where Ying focused on supporting diverse learners and improving educational outcomes. Ying holds a Master of Science in Education for Students with Disabilities from St. John's University and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Asian Cultural Studies from Baruch College.
