Lori Orser is an experienced writer and author, active as a freelance writer since 2012 and serving as Membership Chair for Women Writing the West since 2008, an organization that promotes women's writing and western history. Lori published the book "Spooky Creepy North Dakota" in 2010, with a contract for "Spooky Creepy South Dakota" currently on hold. In addition to writing, Lori self-published the novelette "Storm Borne" in 2012. Lori's professional background also includes a role as Environmental Manager at Echo Bay Mines from 1991 to 1992. Lori holds a Master of Arts in Linguistics from The University of Kansas and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and German from the University of North Dakota.
