Peter Hase is an AI Safety Researcher affiliated with Schmidt Sciences and the Stanford NLP Group. They are currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at Stanford University and an AI Institute Fellow at Schmidt Sciences, building on their previous experience as a Research Intern at Meta and a Student Researcher at Google. Peter also held a position as a Research Intern at the Allen Institute for AI and served as an AI Resident at Anthropic. With a PhD in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earned during their studies from 2019 to 2024, and a Bachelor's Degree in Statistical Science from Duke University, achieved in 2019, Peter’s work focuses on AI safety and interpretability.
