Maggie Carter, aPHR, has worked in the Human Resources field since 2007. Maggie began as a Swim Instructor at The Monon Community Center in 2007, where they were certified as a Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) and also substituted as a back up Manager when needed. In 2011, they were a Corporate Communications Intern at Roche Diagnostics, where they assessed employee communication practices, conducted interviews with current employees, recommended innovative and new ways to update employee communication, and planned employee events. In 2012, they were a Recruiting Intern and Program Manager for Student Programs at Interactive Intelligence. In 2016, they worked as a Campus Recruiter for Kronos Incorporated. In 2018, they became the Human Resources and Office Manager at Schneider Geospatial, where they managed the overall provision of HR services, policies, and programs. Maggie maintained knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation, reviewed and made recommendations to executive management for improvement of policies, procedures and practices, managed the official Employee Handbook, assisted executive management in the annual review, prepared and maintained job descriptions, job evaluations, and salary structure systems, participated with corporate executive team in the selection and implementation of benefit programs, administered employee benefit programs, developed and maintained good relationships with universities, outside recruiters, employment agencies and other recruitment resources, screened, evaluated and recommended applicants for interviews, administered applicant offer letters, background checks, and pre-employment screenings, coordinated and participated in development and execution of onboarding programs and procedures for new employees, assisted in the creation of a work environment and culture that reinforces the company's mission and core values, assisted in the development and implementation of employee activities and programs to achieve desired engagement, organized internal communication vehicles to ensure employee awareness, understanding and participation in programs and activities related to building a best place to work, coordinated employee appreciation activities, and processed bi-weekly payroll. In 2019, they joined the Board Of Directors- College & Community Relations at IndySHRM.

Maggie Carter earned their Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communications from Ball State University in 2013. Prior to that, they graduated from Westfield High School with an Academic Honors Diploma in 2009. In 2021, they obtained a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education. Additionally, they are an Associate Professional Human Resources (aPHR) certified by the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
