Karin Theune

Karin Theune has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Karin'smost recent position is as the Global Director Sales for Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals & Cosmetics at Schoeller Allibert, where they focus on sustainable supply chain solutions. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Life Sciences at LOGEX, utilizing data analytics to benefit the healthcare industry. Karin also has a background in the pharmaceutical sector, having held various roles at Novo Nordisk, including Senior Director and Head of Obesity, Marketing Director, Biopharm Director, Field Sales Manager, and Business Development Manager. In addition, they have experience as a Business Process Alignment Consultant, responsible for implementing a new CRM system, and as a Business Analyst at DSM Food Specialties. Karin is skilled in sales, marketing, digital transformation, and change management.

Karin Theune attended Nehalennia SSG from 1995 to 2001, where they completed their Gymnasium degree. Karin then went on to Leiden University and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biopharmaceutical Sciences from 2001 to 2004. Karin continued their education at Leiden University and earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Biopharmaceutical Sciences with a specialization in Science Based Business from 2004 to 2006. In 2006 and 2007, they pursued further studies at Leiden University, focusing on their MSc in Biopharmaceutical Sciences.
