Before their current roles, Gary served as the President of Diamond Bakery Co., Ltd. from February 2015 to June 2022. Gary. was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the family-owned business, including business strategy, finance, production, distribution, marketing, and sales. Under their leadership, the company achieved consistent strong performance in terms of profit and loss and balance sheet.
Prior to that, Gary held the role of VP/GM (Market Director) at Pepsi Bottling Group/PepsiCo from August 1997 to February 2015. Gary. demonstrated exceptional leadership in managing an $80MM revenue business with 300 employees. Their operating unit received recognition for top performance awards, including Market Unit of the Year and the Donald M. Kendall Bottler of the Year.
Before their tenure at PepsiCo, Gary contributed to the innovation and diversification of Pepsi's beverage portfolio. Gary. held various innovation-focused roles from May 1991 to August 1997, leading product development, packaging, positioning, advertising, and go-to-market execution for sports drinks and teas. Additionally, they served on the CMO staff in a process support role.
Gary began their career at Bankers Trust as a Relationship Manager from September 1989 to January 1991. During this time, they worked on projects related to sales, automation, and innovation, specifically focusing on digital scanning and document management of securities.
Prior to Bankers Trust, Gary worked as a Senior Accountant at Price Waterhouse from August 1983 to August 1987.
Gary Yoshioka obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting from the University of Hawaii at Manoa from 1978 to 1983. Gary. later pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Marketing, Strategy, and Finance from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management between 1987 and 1989.
