Executive Vice President at Scholars of Finance

Michelle Tombu has a diverse work experience, starting in 2016 as a Finance Manager at the Russian Kids Club Saturday School. From 2019 to 2022, they worked as a Summer Camp Counselor at Rolling Hills Country Day School. In 2022, they took on various roles, including being a Public Policy Columnist at Policy Review @ Berkeley and a Sports Department Producer at CalTV. Michelle also joined the Sports Business Group at Berkeley as a Consulting Analyst. In the same year, Michelle became involved with Scholars of Finance, first as a Marketing Committee Member and then as the Vice President of Marketing and Outreach. In 2023, they participated in the 2023 Insight Series at Goldman Sachs and served as a Tech Consulting Extern at Accenture. Currently, they are at Business Review at Berkeley, where they hold the position of Marketing Operations Associate and will soon become the Director of Marketing Operations.

Michelle Tombu completed their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Political Economy, Russian Language and Literature from the University of California, Berkeley. Michelle attended the university from 2021 to 2025. Prior to that, they graduated from Palos Verdes Peninsula High School in 2021, but the degree name and field of study were not provided for their high school education. In addition to their formal education, Michelle also obtained several certifications. Michelle completed the Bloomberg Market Concepts certification from Bloomberg in June 2023 and the SAP Technology Training certification from Accenture in June 2023. Michelle also obtained the Business of Entertainment, Media and Sport certification from UCLA Anderson School of Management in July 2020, and the CPR/AED/First Aid certification from the American Heart Association in June 2019.
