Alana Parks

Alana Parks is a Family Engagement Specialist at Scholastic since January 2024, focusing on training and coaching school and district staff in Family Engagement best practices. Previously, Alana served as the Director of Family & Community Engagement for Saint Louis Public Schools from October 2021 to January 2024, collaborating with various departments to enhance family and community involvement using the Dual Capacity-Building Framework. Alana's experience includes roles as a Match Support Specialist at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio, a podcast co-host for Real Moms Too, and engagements in coaching at Columbus School for Girls and in educational consulting for Project Lead The Way. Additionally, Alana founded the Stay Afloat Foundation, encouraging swimming and lifeguarding, while also having a background as a Business Analyst at JPMorgan Chase. Alana earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical & Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University in 2012.
