Mark Cedric Kelbel is an experienced engineer currently working at SCHÖLLY FIBEROPTIC GMBH as an Engineer in Product Support and Training since June 2023. Previously, Mark served as a scientific assistant at the Institut für Mikrosystemtechnik – IMTEK from January 2022 to June 2023, focusing on the morphological and mechanical investigations of hybrid scaffold variations made from calcium phosphate cement and alginate. Additionally, Mark conducted research on the abscission and self-repair of cacti as a scientific assistant at livMatS and studied plant biomechanics and functional morphology with the Plant Biomechanics Group at the University of Freiburg. Mark holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Microsystems Engineering from the University of Freiburg and has completed training as a paramedic.
