Joseph Thurakal

Joseph Thurakal has a diverse work experience starting from their role as a Researcher at Columbia University's GECo LIGO Laboratory in 2005. Joseph then transitioned to work as an Assistant Macro Trader and Quantitative Researcher at QFS Asset Management, L.P. Their career progressed as they took on the role of Senior Portfolio Manager at Holding Capital Group before becoming a Senior Portfolio Manager at the Family Office where they managed hedge funds and investments. Joseph also served as a Board Observer at Gridtential Energy and currently holds the position of Director, Quantitative Strategies Business Development at Schonfeld since April 2021. Throughout their various roles, Joseph has demonstrated expertise in quantitative strategies and portfolio management.

Joseph Thurakal holds a Bachelor's Degree in Physics and Mathematics from Columbia University. Joseph furthered their education by obtaining a Master's Degree in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley. In 2013, they also obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera.
