Laura Colket

Associate Dean, SIT Graduate Institute at School for International Training

Dr. Laura Colket is the current Associate Dean of the SIT Graduate Institute at School for International Training. Laura was promoted to this position in July of 2022 after serving as the Director of the M.Ed. Program and Associate Director of Leadership and Excellence in Academic Development at St. George's University. Dr. Colket has also worked as an Assistant Professor at Al Akhawayn University, a Research Intern at Public/Private Ventures, and a Senior Research Associate and Doctoral Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Colket's research focuses on youth development, after school programs, and academic writing and research. Laura has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented their work at national and international conferences. In addition to their research and teaching responsibilities, Dr. Colket has also served on the boards of several non-profit organizations dedicated to improving access to education for under-served populations.

Laura Colket graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Psychology. Laura then attended the University of Pennsylvania, where they earned their M.S.Ed. in International and Intercultural Communication; Experiential Education; Global Education. Finally, Laura Colket received their Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from the University of Pennsylvania in Educational Leadership; Qualitative Research; International Development; Haitian Studies.

Laura Colket reports to Said Graiouid, Dean of Faculty.
