Jennifer Walwark has a diverse work experience background. Jennifer started their career in 1993 at St. Joseph Elementary School as a Teacher and Vice Principal. Jennifer worked there until 1998 when they joined Lawrence Hall of Science as a Teacher. In 1999, they moved to St. Theresa School and worked as a Fourth Grade Teacher until 2002. Jennifer also volunteered at Oakland Elizabeth House women's shelter from 1999 to 2005. In 2006, they joined Linda Beach Cooperative Preschool as the Vice President of the Volunteer Board. From 2007 to 2010, they served as the School Board Chair at St. Theresa School. Their most recent position was at the School Of The Madeleine, where they started as a Fifth Grade Teacher in 2010 and later became the VP of Curriculum and Professional Development in 2016.

Jennifer Walwark earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California, Davis, which they attended from 1987 to 1991. Jennifer then obtained a Teaching Credential in Multiple Subjects from Saint Mary's College of California from 1992 to 1993. Jennifer continued their education at the University of San Francisco, where they completed a Master of Arts degree in School Administration from 1998 to 1999.
