Helen Schleis has extensive work experience in the field of marketing and business development. Helen began their career as the Owner and Editor of Schleis Scoping Service. From 1996 to 2003, they worked as the Exhibit Marketing Manager at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, where they were responsible for planning and executing the marketing strategies for over 300 trade shows. Helen then served as a Field Sales Consultant at KayHunter Educational Enterprises from 2004 to 2006, where they worked closely with major publishers to provide sales consultation and training. Helen joined School Specialty, Inc. in 2006 as the Merchandise Marketing Manager, where they directed creative strategy and content creation for new products. From 2008 to 2011, they worked as the Marketing Program Manager - Events at School Specialty, Inc., leading the execution of various marketing and sales events. Currently, Helen works at School Specialty as the Director of Business Development, Contracts, Co-ops & National Agreements, where they focus on developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies to increase revenue and brand awareness.

Helen Schleis attended Liberty University from 1985 to 1989, studying Marketing. Helen then pursued an Associates Degree in Court Reporting at the Academy of Court Reporting from 1990 to 1992. Additionally, they obtained certifications including Account-Based Marketing Certifications from Flip My Funnel University in 2019 and Certified Trade Show Marketer from Exhibitor Online in 1999.
