James O'Brien

James O'Brien is currently the Head of Community (Foundations) at Schoolhouse.world, focusing on creating joyful, safe, and scalable peer tutoring experiences. Previously, James served as Community Lead, enhancing community and volunteer systems through a user-centered approach. At co:census, James held the positions of Customer Success & Marketing Lead and Account Manager, where growth strategies were built on community insights and user enablement systems were designed. James's earlier experience includes roles at L'AGENCE and Theory, as well as serving as an ELA Teacher with the NYC Department of Education. James holds a Product Marketing Certificate from Cornell University and a Master of Arts in Secondary English Education from Brooklyn College, alongside a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from The City College of New York.
