Hartmut Z. has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Hartmut began their career at The Boston Consulting Group as a Consultant, specializing in strategy consulting for international industrial goods companies. Hartmut'sproject work included topics such as restructuring, growth strategy development, due diligence, and IT implementation. In 2008, they joined SCHOTT, where they progressed through various roles, including Project Manager Strategic Planning, Head of Strategy & Business Development BU HomeTech, Product Manager Touch and Cover Glass, Director of New Product and Business Development (BU Lighting & Imaging), Director of Global Sales & Marketing Industrial Components (BU Lighting & Imaging), and most recently, they hold the position of VP Strategy & Product Management Business Field Optical Industry. Throughout their career, they have shown a strong ability to define strategic visions, identify and develop new business areas, and successfully lead projects.

Hartmut Z. obtained their Diplomkaufmann degree in Betriebswirtschaftslehre from the University of Cologne from the years 1999 to 2005. During their studies, they also completed a CEMS Master's in International Management at the same university. In 2004, they briefly attended the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) for a CEMS Master's in International Management in Business Administration.
