Michel COJEAN has an extensive work experience in the financial industry and humanitarian sector. Michel is currently serving as the Managing Director (Délégué général) at AEFR - Association Europe - Finances - Régulations, a think tank and cross-sectoral body focusing on financial regulation. Prior to this, they were the Head of Risk, Infrastructure Finance at Schroders, an asset manager specialized in infrastructure finance. Additionally, they served as the President of Fondation MSF (Médecins Sans Frontières), where they spearheaded projects promoting innovation and knowledge-sharing in humanitarian medicine. Michel COJEAN also held various leadership positions at EIFR (European Institute of Financial Regulation), Paris EUROPLACE, and Dexia Credit Local, where they gained expertise in compliance, risk management, and project finance. Michel started their career in corporate finance at Chase Manhattan Bank, where they worked on project finance, M&A, and credit analysis.

Michel COJEAN completed their education in the field of finance at HEC Paris from 1978 to 1981. Michel then pursued a pre-doctorate in Company Law at Paris-Pantheon-Assas University from 1981 to 1984. In addition, they studied Economics and Public Law at Sciences Po from 1981 to 1983. Michel holds a Certification of regulatory knowledge for market professionals from Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) in France.
