Frank Schmitges serves as a Principal Scientist at Schrödinger, leading biology efforts for early drug discovery in neuroscience and oncology since March 2021. Previously, Frank held roles at WuXi AppTec, advancing to Senior Scientist II, where responsibilities included method development and validation for large molecule studies in a GLP environment. Frank's expertise also includes positions at Deep Genomics, focusing on therapeutic oligonucleotides, and Boehringer Ingelheim, where functional characterization of inhibitors was conducted. As a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Toronto, Frank worked on ubiquitin-based inhibitors and transcription factors. Frank began a PhD at the Friedrich Miescher Institute, studying polycomb repressive complexes, and holds academic degrees from Heidelberg University.
