Mats Svensson

Mats Svensson is an accomplished professional in the field of computational chemistry with extensive experience spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Computational Chemistry at Schrödinger since November 2012, Mats has held various leadership positions within the company, including Senior Director and Research Leader. Prior to this, Mats worked at AstraZeneca R&D from January 2002 to October 2012 as an Associate Principal Scientist in Computational Medicinal Chemistry. Mats began academic contributions as an Assistant Professor at KTH from August 1996 to April 2001 and conducted postdoctoral research in computational chemistry at Emory University from August 1994 to July 1996. Mats holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics with a focus on Quantum Chemistry from Stockholm University, completed between 1989 and 1994.
