Markus Meinhold

Markus Meinhold is a seasoned professional in the fields of venture capital and financial analytics, currently serving as Principal at Schumpeter Ventures since January 2025, with a focus on early-stage investments in FinTech, InsurTech, and Cyber Security startups. Previously, Markus held various leadership roles at BlackRock from January 2016 to September 2024, including Director of Analytics & Quantitative Investment and Risk Solutions, where responsibilities included developing data-driven solutions for investment and risk management. Markus also served as Co-Head of the DACH region and EMEA Analytics & Risk Practice. Prior experience includes managerial positions at d-fine GmbH, where project execution in analytics and risk management was a key focus. Markus's career began with roles at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and Commerzbank AG. Academically, Markus holds a MSc in Mathematical Finance from the University of Oxford, a Diplom in Wirtschaftsmathematik from Ulm University, and an MSc in Mathematics from Syracuse University.
