Alan D. Poff has extensive work experience in government and community affairs. Alan D. started their career as a Legislative Aide for U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison from March 1995 to August 1998. Alan D. then worked as a Judicial Law Clerk for Judge Douglas G. Swenson from April 2002 to September 2004. Following that, they joined Schwan's Company, where they held various roles in the Government & Community Affairs department from October 2004 to present. Alan D. started as a Sr. Director/Director/Manager and currently serves as the Vice President, leading the department in advancing corporate public policy objectives at federal, state, and local levels.

Alan D. Poff received a B.A. in Political Science from Boise State University in 1986. Alan D. later earned their J.D. in Law from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2001.
