Smeeta Adaniya

Smeeta Adaniya has a strong background in the food industry. Smeeta is currently working as the Senior Director of Integrated Business Planning at Schwan's Company since July 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Regional Vice President of Merchandising at Sysco Asian Foods from September 2020 to July 2021.

From 2013 to 2020, Smeeta held various roles at Sysco. Smeeta started as the Corporate Category Director, responsible for negotiating and defining category strategies, creating sales growth plans, and financial forecasting. Later, they became the Vice President of Merchandising, leading the merchandising team and driving profitability through product assortment optimization.

Before Sysco, Smeeta worked at General Mills as the Associate Channel Manager, where they developed marketing strategies for different channels and managed product lines. Smeeta started their career at General Mills as a Research and Development Engineer, focusing on foodservice branded products.

Smeeta also had a brief stint at Ecolab as a Marketing Associate.

Smeeta Adaniya completed their MBA in Marketing and Finance from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management in 2006-2008. Prior to that, they pursued Chemical Engineering and obtained their BSE and MSE degrees from the University of Michigan from 1999-2004. Smeeta also completed their high school education at Grosse Pointe North High School from 1996-1999.
