Clinical Research Coordinator at Schweiger Dermatology

Karen Montecinos has a diverse work experience history. Karen started their career as a Student Development Officer at Montclair State University in 2015. Karen then held various internships, including roles as a Marketing and Event Planning Intern at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, a Digital Marketing Intern at All-Ways Advertising Company, and a Market Research Intern at Market Analytics International.

In 2018, Karen became a Project Associate at Market Analytics International, where they worked until 2021. During this time, they gained experience in project management and market research.

In 2021, Karen joined Schweiger Dermatology Group as a Clinical Research Assistant and later became a Clinical Research Coordinator in 2022. Karen is responsible for coordinating clinical research activities and ensuring the smooth operation of research projects.

Karen also had externship experience at ALYS via Rutgers MBS Externship Exchange in 2022. During this time, they created a database of black-owned personal care brands, analyzed brand claims and product features, and contributed to the creation of a UX interface for a retail store.

Additionally, Karen is a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, Inc. (ASLMS), the world's largest scientific organization dedicated to medical laser applications. Their role involves participating in scientific information exchange and staying informed about the latest developments in laser medicine and surgery.

Karen Montecinos completed their education at various institutions. Karen obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in French from Montclair State University, where they studied from 2014 to 2018. In 2017, they also attended Universidad Nebrija for a brief period to study business. Now, Karen is pursuing a Master of Business and Science (MBS) degree in Personal Care Science at Rutgers University, which they will complete between 2022 and 2024.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Karen Montecinos has also obtained several certifications. Karen completed the "GCP for Clinical Trials with Investigational Drugs and Medical Devices (U.S. FDA Focus) Course" and the "Shipping and Transport of Regulated Biological Materials" course through the CITI Program in March 2023. Karen also participated in an Externship Project as a team member at Rutgers University-New Brunswick in December 2022. Karen holds certifications in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) from the American Heart Association and as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) from the CDE Career Institute, obtained in November and October 2021, respectively. Additionally, they have certifications in CVENT and Hootsuite Platform, although the exact dates of certification are not provided.
