Kim Holzer is an accomplished biologist and invasive species coordinator with extensive experience in both ecological research and ski instruction. Current roles include serving as the Invasive Species Coordinator and Biologist for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service since January 2023, and as an Associate Researcher and Aquatic Ecologist at the Smithsonian Institution’s Marine Invasions Research Laboratory since March 2012. Kim has held various positions in ski instruction, including as a part-time instructor at Schweitzer Mountain Resort and Vail Resorts, and has achieved multiple PSIA Alpine Level 3 certifications. With a Ph.D. in Ecology from the University of Virginia, supplemented by advanced degrees in Science Education and Biology, Kim has a strong academic foundation alongside a diverse professional background in environmental policy and aquatic ecology.
