Carla Sabariego serves as the Vice Dean for Rehabilitation and Functioning Sciences and Assistant Professor (tenure track) at Universität Luzern, where multiple leadership roles include coordination of the WHO Collaborating Center for Rehabilitation in Global Health Systems. Carla is also Co-Head of the WHO Collaborating Center and Co-Director of the Centre for Rehabilitation in Global Health Systems, further leading the Division of Rehabilitation within the Department of Health Sciences and Medicine. Additional roles include co-leadership of the Disability Policy and Implementation Research Group at Schweizer Paraplegiker-Stiftung and senior research and teaching positions at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. Carla has extensive consultancy experience with the World Health Organization, contributing to disability survey implementations and community rehabilitation evaluation indicators. Academic achievements include a Habilitation and PhD in Public Health and Health Economics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and advanced degrees in Psychology from the University of São Paulo and Universidade Federal de São Paulo.
