Dr. Philipp Frank has extensive work experience in various roles. Dr. Philipp started their career as an Intern at GFE - Gesellschaft für Fertigungstechnik und Entwicklung Schmalkalden e.V. in 2007. Dr. Philipp then worked as a Diploma Student and Student Internship and Master Project at Forschungszentrum Jülich from 2011 to 2012. Dr. Frank continued their academic journey and worked as a Ph.D. Student at TU Dresden from 2013 to 2017. Dr. Philipp then worked as a Post-Doc at cfaed - Center for Advancing Electronics Dresden from 2017 to 2018. Dr. Frank joined Carl Zeiss Meditec AG in 2018, where they served as an R&D Engineer from 2018 to 2020 and as a Project Manager from 2020 to 2023. Currently, they are the Head of Software Development at SCHWIND eye-tech-solutions GmbH since 2023.
Dr. Philipp Frank began their education at Technische Universität Dresden, where they pursued a degree in Elektrotechnik und Elektronik. From 2007 to 2012, they completed their Dipl.-Ing. (Bachelor's) in the field. Dr. Philipp then continued their studies at the same institution and obtained a Dr.-Ing. (Ph.D.) degree in Elektrotechnik und Elektronik from 2013 to 2017.
In addition to their formal education, Dr. Frank has also obtained several certifications. This includes certifications such as Scrum: Advanced, Scrum-Grundlagen: Der Scrum Master, and Scrum – Grundlagen from LinkedIn. Dr. Philipp also completed the Azure DevOps Grundkurs certification from LinkedIn. Furthermore, they have completed courses such as Innovation Management from Coursera and Standford Online - Machine Learning from Coursera.
