Li Mao

Li Mao has an extensive work experience in the medical and pharmaceutical field. Li is currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer at SciClone Pharmaceuticals since June 2022. Previously, they held the same position at Sino Biopharmaceutical from May 2021 to June 2022. In 2021, they briefly served as the CEO of Livzonbio. Prior to that, they were the CEO of Xcovery Holdings, Inc. from November 2018 to March 2021. Li also worked as the Senior Vice President & Chief Medical Officer at Betta Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. from March 2018 to March 2021.

Li Mao's experience also includes academic positions. Li worked as a Professor at MD Anderson Cancer Center from 2004 to 2021, starting as an Assistant Professor in 1995 and progressing to Associate Professor and then Professor. Li served as the Vice President of a company from June 2016 to February 2018. Li was a Professor and Chairman at the University of Maryland Baltimore from April 2009 to May 2016. Li Mao began their career as an Attending Surgeon at the First Affiliated Hospital, Nanjing Medical University from September 1988 to May 1995.

Li Mao completed a Fellowship in Cancer Genetics at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine from 1992 to 1995. Prior to that, from 1982 to 1988, Li Mao pursued a Residency in Surgery at the First Affiliated Hospital, Nanjing Medical University. Li Mao's educational journey began at Nanjing Medical University, where they studied Medicine from 1978 to 1982.
