Ruhana Zariwala

Ruhana Zariwala serves as the Global Head of Sustainability at Cipla since May 2022 and has been active with the Science Based Targets Initiative since November 2020, contributing to both Technical Advisory Groups. Prior to Cipla, Ruhana held significant roles in corporate sustainability, including Head of Corporate Sustainability at Mahindra Finance and Senior Manager of Corporate Sustainability at JSW Steel Ltd. Experience encompasses managing sustainability frameworks, reporting, and stakeholder engagement while driving initiatives for Occupational Health & Safety and responsible sourcing. Ruhana has also worked as a Sustainability Consultant at Tata Consultancy Services and held various engineering positions, contributing to environmental design and project management. Academic credentials include a Master’s in Environmental Engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute and an MBA in Sustainability Studies from the Stockholm School of Economics.
