Daniel Baeriswyl, PhD, has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Daniel is the Founder and CEO of Science Card, a company they established in 2021. Prior to this, they founded and served as CEO of Magic Carpet AI for four years, where they developed a fully autonomous deep learning-based trade engine. This engine was applied to digital assets and equities, trading for hedge funds worldwide.

Daniel was responsible for pricing foreign exchange rates for European clients and developed automated analytics tools for the electronic foreign exchange section.

Furthermore, Daniel worked as a Visiting Graduate Student at the California Institute of Technology in 2011, studying mass transfer within pulsatile flows. Daniel also conducted nanotechnology research during an internship at CTI Renato Archer in Brazil in 2010, focusing on numerical analysis of polymer flow processes in nanoimprint-lithography applications.

Lastly, Daniel served as a Teaching and Research Assistant at ETH Zurich in 2009.

Daniel Baeriswyl, PhD, has a diverse education history. Daniel began their education at Collège St-Michel / Kollegium St. Michael, where they obtained their Matura degree in Law and Economics from 2001 to 2005. Daniel then pursued a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zürich from 2005 to 2011. During their time at ETH Zürich, they also participated in an exchange program with Caltech's Department of Aeronautics for a year in 2011.

Following their master's degree, Daniel Baeriswyl joined UCL, where they spent four years from 2013 to 2017 working towards their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomedical/Medical Engineering. Daniel'sresearch efforts at UCL culminated in the successful completion of their Ph.D. degree.

Alongside their formal education, Daniel Baeriswyl also obtained certification in the Engineering Young Entrepreneur Scheme Competition in April 2014.
