Daniel Baeriswyl, PhD

Daniel Baeriswyl, PhD, has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Daniel is the Founder and CEO of Science Card, a company they established in 2021. Prior to this, they founded and served as CEO of Magic Carpet AI for four years, where they developed a fully autonomous deep learning-based trade engine. This engine was applied to digital assets and equities, trading for hedge funds worldwide.

Daniel also has an academic background, having pursued a PhD in Biomedical Engineering at UCL from 2013 to 2017. Daniel'sresearch on the impact of flow on the Nuclear Translocation of NF-kappaB was published in Nature Scientific Reports. Daniel also worked as a Visiting PhD Student at Imperial College London, where they conducted experimental investigations on NF-kappaB activity in vascular endothelial cells exposed to different flow conditions.

Daniel then pursued a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zürich from 2005 to 2011.
